Walter Stornetta Ranch, one of two dairies operating in Mendocino County, is located along the coast near the
small town of Manchester, CA. The dairy milks three different breeds of
dairy cows including Holsteins, Jerseys, and Crossbreds that graze
pristine pastureland overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Started over 100 years ago by Antone
Stornetta, who emigrated to the U.S. from Switzerland, the ranch is now
operated by his great-grandson Walter along with wife Donna, their son
Lance and daughter-in-law Jamie. The dairy was one of the first in the
state to complete the California Dairy Quality Assurance Program.
“We are providing a clean, healthy
environment for our families, our employees, and our animals while
contributing a great product to the community. We really love what what
we do and we are fortunate be a producer for Clover Stornetta Farms.
They are a class act local company who are envy of the dairy industry.
Their North Coast Excellence (NCE) Program has been a great response to
the demands of people who want a very good product.”

“Clover is really a stand-up
operation, where a handshake still means something. They have great
advertising, long-term vision, and impressive standards that have
sustained them over the years. The NCE Program has secured us in the
marketplace which in turn ensured us a place to sell our milk.”
